Who: Christian allegation against the Jews

What: It’s a phrase coined by historians. Once transubstantiation became a part of Catholic dogma, a myth, begun in the clergy and spreading to the general population, about Jews sacrificing Christian children in a morbid reenactment of the crucifixion of Jesus.

When: began in the 12th century

Where: Europe

Significance: Many Jews were murdered in English, German, French, and Spanish cities because of this myth.
